After using/trying to use the Synguider autoguider I had become a bit sceptical about the stand alone autoguiders. However the Lacerta MGEN changed that the minute I started using it; it just works perfectly! Since I use it for my autoguiding I’ve never experienced trouble finding a guiding star again nor ran into guiding problems.
If you are looking to use the Lacerta MGEN with a Nikon camera; don’t worry, it works just fine! They don’t state that they support it, but i’ve been using the MGEN together with my Nikon’s just fine. Read more about it in the postings below..

I’m a very happy user of the Lacerta MGEN autoguider and have been using it successfully for a year now. It is a great device that always works and gets me guiding very quickly.
