Another image from my astrotrip to Namibia. I didn’t plan om imaging this object, but after the results on the Lagoon and Trifid Nebula I decided to give this a go.
I picked the composition carefully to make sure the fainter IC4701 would fit in the field of view as well, but my unmodded D600 had difficulties getting this nebula properly imaged. Unfortunately this night was one of the ‘bad’ ones (read: still pretty awesome but not so outstanding as some other nights in terms of transparency and seeing) and I wasn’t able to spent more time on this during the rest of the nights.
I still was able to capture 29 x 10min and am quite pleased with the results.
